{ How to get there }

BY WHEELS

The easiest road, entirely paved and with large lanes, goes up from Sutrio (around 12km), while the famous climb of “Giro d’Italia” (Tour of Italy) starts from Liariis (Ovaro) and goes up for about 9 km, paved as well but, as known, way more steep. Besides Ravascaletto cable car is another option.

There is another itinerary, much longer but spectacular for its view, starting from Villa Santina and winding through the districts of Val di Lauco. In this case, the last 6 Km are to be traveled on an unpaved road, which makes it perfect for mountain bikes or off-road motorcycles.

ON FOOT

The most convenient way to reach Rifugio Tamai, if you don’t want to drive a car, is by cable car from Ravascaletto. Once you reach “Cubo” (arrival station) expect a short easy walk, around 1 Km, which will take you to sella Zoncolan first (finishing line of Giro d’Italia) and, right after, to our lodge. On foot, you can also reach us from Malga Pozof, through the road or the path originated from Ovaro, or from Malga Pozof,

if you have taken the path through Val di Lauco. The most common way, however, is the climb that starts from Zoncolan square, coming from Sutrio. From the lodge you can then reach several destinations of “La Via delle Malghe” itinerary, or climb to Tamai top (around 1 hour distance from the lodge) or even, for sportsmen and sportswomen, Monte Avenis top.
