Easy mountain walks
Short walks and simple hikes around the Tamai Refuge
A mountain holiday is truly the best alternative to crowded beaches and the unbearable heat of the city, but every time you look for a mountain destination you run into the usual problems:
⊛ costs too expensive
⊛ had to book four months ago
⊛ i percorsi proposti sono troppo affollati o troppo impegnativi
This guide is the solution for you: it contains three easy mountain routes to do alone or in company around the Tamai Refuge, reachable by car or by cable car, ranging from easy to very easy and that encourage you to go slowly and look around make wonderful stops in the green, but which will also allow you to conquer a summit!
It's okay even if your family consists of you, your five dogs, and your grandparents
This guide is a practical pdf: you will receive it by email upon registration. It is for those who want to spend a day or more in the mountains for the simple pleasure of nature – it is dedicated to beginners, those who love tranquility, those who have free time and want to try different itineraries, off the usual routes.
The guide contains three routes
1. Labyrinth among the pines
It describes a simple walk in the green to discover flowers and plants (and also small curiosities), with pleasant, well-marked stops.
2. Between pastures and blueberries
An easy and panoramic excursion with a gentle ups and downs among the meadows of the Zoncolan, where cows bivouac and small fruits abound.
3. Over our heads
An excursion within everyone’s reach that will allow you to conquer your (perhaps) first peak, discovering that doing so is a great feat … within everyone’s reach!
Tamai Refuge is a unique place that once you arrive you don't want to leave
We wrote the guide “Easy mountain walks” because we know our territory like the back of our hands: we were born there, we spend every summer (and every winter) there, we love to walk slowly and discover that beautiful places can also be very close and – as if that weren’t enough – we have a child who has tested all the advice of the guide (and who, even if he does not speak much yet, ensures that they are easy).
At the Tamai Refuge you can stop for a short or long stop: in any case you can enjoy the sunny basin in which it stands, take a nap on our deckchairs while the children play near you or take a dip in our small swimming pool.
At the Tamai Refuge restaurant you can taste mountain dishes with herbs from our meadows, collected by us in the months of closure. At the kiosk – on sunny days – you can order your picnic basket and choose your favorite spot among the many that our meadows host, you will recognize them by the fresh “centreplate” flowers.
We leave you to our nice – but punctual – guide so you can already imagine yourself with us and start walking our favorite trails.
Inside the guide you will find
⊛ duration of the three courses
⊛ precise descriptions
⊛ level of difficulty (in which we indicate whether it is suitable for children and at what age)
⊛ necessary equipment
⊛ advice on where to sleep and what to do
